FABS & MAGFABS

What are FABS?
FABS, or Foot Arch Band Supports, are unique arch supports which provide instant relief for tired, achy feet, heel pain, and lower back pain caused by poor arch support.
When should I use MAGFABS?
MAGFABS encompass all the qualities of original FABS, plus the added benefit of advanced magnetic technology. Dr. Roth's medical grade magnets are rated at a powerful 2200 gauss. They are ultra thin, soft, flexible and have a nearly pure unidirectional penetration of 2 to 3 inches. Anecdotal evidence suggests that when magnetic waves penetrate through areas experiencing pain or discomfort, the waves stimulate blood flow and may enhance healing.
How do FABS work?
FABS are designed to relieve foot pain in a number of ways. First the highly compressive, self-adjusting strap wraps around the foot, supporting the weakened arch. Simultaneously, the comfort pad applies pressure to the trigger spot located on the Plantar Fascia, the main ligament of the foot. The Plantar Fascia ligament extends from the forefoot and connects to the heel. When the foot is overused this ligament becomes inflamed, tight, and painful. The applied pressure at this specific location helps to relieve pain.
How are FABS made?
FABS are made of highly engineered fabric and foam composite material that is uniquely joined together without the need of adhesives. The fabric is primarily a Nylon / Lycra blend, non-latex, non-neoprene, hypoallergenic with moisture wicking fibers. The foam is urethane based, open cell, breathable, non-latex, non-slip, hand washable and reusable.
Who should use FABS?
Anybody suffering from tired, achy feet, flat feet, pronation, heel pain, heel spurs, or plantar fasciitis can benefit from the use of FABS.
How quickly do FABS work?
FABS provide instant relief to heel and arch pain.
Can I run and do athletic activities while wearing FABS?
Yes. FABS can be worn during any physical activity.
How long do FABS last?
The life of a FAB depends largely on the wearer's lifestyle and level of activity. With average use a FAB should last between 2 to 6 months. However, an especially active person, such as a marathon runner, may wear down a FAB in as little as a few weeks. FABS are not made to be indestructible; they are a disposable product, similar to a sock.
Are FABS machine washable?
No. FABS are designed to be washed gently by hand in warm, light soapy water. Leave the FABS on a towel to dry overnight. Do not wring dry.
Can I wear FABS while barefoot?
Yes. FABS can be worn while barefoot, in socks, or in any style of footwear.
What if the FABS are not immediately comfortable?
If FABS are not immediately comfortable, minor adjustments may be necessary. The most effective adjustment is usually to move FABS closer to the heel. See the enclosed insert for more information.
Are FABS for everybody?
Individuals who suffer from poor circulation, or have a loss of feeling in their feet due to advanced diabetic neuropathy, must take special care when using FABS or any other foot orthotics.
Are FABS hypoallergenic?
Yes. FABS are latex-free, neoprene-free, and hypoallergenic.
Can I wear FABS in conjunction with other arch supports?
Everybody's feet are unique. Trial and error will need to be the method used when determining which arch supports are appropriate. Try wearing just the FABS, and then try wearing the other arch supports. Then try them together. The determining factor is how much relief is gained from the different combinations.
